The helipad on top of our main hospital is capable of landing a Blackhawk helicopter. We built it this way so we’d be ready to respond in the event of a natural disaster. Our helipad is more than 64 feet in length and large enough to hold six stretchers. It is equipped with a snow melt system and will allow patients to arrive at our Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center as quickly as possible. The hospital's existing helipad will remain as a secondary location.
